About Curtis Ciszek, Broker, Ship’s Captain, and now, Short Sale Specialist
Like the
Swiss Family Robinson, I have raised my family in the mountains and on the
ocean. With a hundred-twenty-thousand ocean sailing miles, including a world
circumnavigation on a 42’ sailing fish boat, and six years as owner-operator of
the 135’ topsail schooner Unicorn of St Helier in our wake, we moved to
the nine-thousand foot level of the Sierra Nevada Range for six years before
settling in the more family-friendly altitude of Central Oregon’s High Desert.
My family and I are
National Geographic Explorers having been the focus of a four-part television
series based on our sailing adventures in the Queen Charlotte Islands of British
Columbia and the Haida natives who inhabit those Islands.
Born in Washington State
and raised on the shores of Lake Washington & Bainbridge Island, My wife Lettie
and I purchased our own island on Puget
Sound where we raised our four children
for eight years. We then moved our family of four teenagers to Central Oregon
for its abundant recreational opportunities like Mt. Bachelor, the many
rivers, lakes, and golf courses, and three hundred annual days of sunshine.*
A broker for fifteen
years, I have a long and successful history of bringing buyers and sellers
together to conclude successful transactions. Though I maintain a strong working
knowledge of all Central Oregon properties, the focus of my industry is resale
properties at Eagle Crest Resort®. As a Realtor®, and ICBO Certified Housing
Inspector and an AACE Building Code Enforcement Specialist, my experiences
encompass all aspects of new and existing home construction standards. As your
representative, I am uniquely qualified to assist you in determining what
properties represent the greatest value and most sound investment potential.
*Depending upon elevation and proximity to
the mountains, each city’s climate may vary slightly.
But with less than 12 inches of precipitation and 300 days of sunshine a year,
Central Oregon is a great place,
